Content or Not Content, That is the Quest!

Posted By: on September 05, 2010 It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the level of contentment one need in life. We all have different levels of expectations in our day-to-day lives and we each can determine to what degree we measure our own individual contentment. Webster defines content as being satisfied, happy, pleased. How often do we overlook the content state of mind one need to stay focus in our academic studies, for it is virtually impossible to pass a course with an unsound mind. How frequently do we put things off till the last minute and become content with rushing to get things done, thinking it shows our ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. These are forms of complacency not contentment. When we recognize the commitment needed to be more orderly, proactive and organized in our pursuits, whether those pursuits are academic, economic, social, personal or a combination of them all, we will then master contentment without compromise, conformity or depravity of oneself.
