Posted By: Hija Chang on September 21, 2012 FEATURED Content Texas Southern University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS). Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, the new dean will lead the college in developing strategic programs, operational practices, fiscal objectives and a professional environment that aligns with the university’s overall mission and goals. Established in 1927, Texas Southern University is one of the nation’s largest HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities). Located in the heart of Houston’s historic Third Ward, this urban university offers a comprehensive program of undergraduate and graduate studies while also boasting a highly credentialed, diverse faculty. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) offers nine accredited degree programs through three academic departments: Pharmacy Practice, Health Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and is a member of the AACPH and ASAHP.
