Oronde Benjamin Gadsden was born August 20, 1971 in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins from 1998 to 2003. He signed as a free agent with the Dolphins. Oronde played college football for Winston-Salem and was picked up as a free agent to play for the NFL Miami Dolphins in 1998. He broke the Dolphins rookie TD receptions record by reaching the endzone 7 times (previous record: 5 by Andre Brown '89), and has been a solid performer ever since.
Gadsden is credited with catching the last touchdown ever thrown by Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino. His first career reception was a 44-yard touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts
