The School of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Texas at Austin is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Career Interviewing and Recruiting. This position reports to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies and will work closely with the UT campus and with employer and alumni communities, coordinating career and recruiting services across the campus.
The Director will provide strategic and operational management oversight to the University Career Interview and Recruiting Center (UCIRC, afterwards “the Center”), ensuring that the mission, vision and objectives of the Center are met through Center programs and services for students, alumni and employers. The Director will manage all Center staff, manage the Center budget and represent the Center and the School of Undergraduate Studies across the UT campus and to employer and alumni communities. Before the Center is fully operational, the inaugural director will have these special duties: Oversee planning and design for the Center, assist in raising an endowment for the Center, and begin and sustain a longitudinal research effort on the employment of University graduates.
When fully operational, the Director will manage a substantial interview center that will be open to all students at the University, graduate and undergraduate. It will leave to the respective colleges the educational functions of preparing students to seek employment through résumé and skill development.
