Job Description: The Dance Team Coach (Marching Band) is a 9-hour per week, 4-month position (August through November) responsible for choreographing the Marching Band music for halftime and the stands, teaching the choreography to the Dance Team members, recruiting and auditioning and selecting the team members, managing the membership, supervising the members at rehearsals and performances, uniform selection and care, arranging for special appearances for the Dance Team, and teaching spring semester technique classes. The Dance Team has become increasingly important to the pageantry and visual appeal of the Marching Band.
Additional time required during Band Camp in August.

Requirements: *Demonstrated success in choreographing and teaching various dance styles.
*Demonstrated success in managing a dance ensemble. 
*Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Must be able to relate to, teach, and motivate college students.
*Must be able to manage team uniforms, costumes, props, and equipment.
*Must be available for Band Camp, rehearsals, and performances. 
*Must be available for programming meetings during the off-season and for post-season bowl travel.
