The Senior Director, Field Human Resources is responsible for leading and effecting all delivery of Human Resources policies, procedures, and activities to ensure alignment, consistency of application, and adherence to approved practices across all non-headquarters’ jobs. Leads and provides HR operational and delivery support to all field businesses to include, but not necessarily be limited to, Community Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics, Central Pharmacy Operations, Walgreens Customer Care Center, Specialty Pharmacy Operations, Take Care Health, Walgreens Infusion and Respiratory Services Drug Store.com and other newly acquired or divested business entities.
•Envisions, directs, and is accountable for the consistent delivery and business unit compliance for all non-headquarters human resources field activities.
•Is accountable for translating company-wide HR strategies and visions into actionable, measurable, and clear tactical implementation processes and procedures.
•Is accountable for the day-to-day fulfillment of the execution of HR best practices in all non-headquarters locations through a team of subordinate managers, HR generalists, and operations training team members.
•Provides leadership in the deployment of corporate HR initiatives to include, compensation, benefits, OD/OE, performance management, talent acquisition, HR systems, and all other HR functions to ensure optimal delivery and customer acceptance and the deployment of repeatable/sustainable processes and procedures.
•Establishes priorities for deploying and effecting HR strategies to ensure minimal disruption to the operations of the business. Provides feedback to corporate COE’s on the timing of major initiatives and change initiatives.
•Collaborates and engages HR leaders and the respective HR Business Partners to ensure that HR field operations services are aligned with HR strategic initiatives and plans. Functions as the senior-most field HR leader on complex issues that need resolutions or escalation.
•Is responsible for the execution of the Company’s employee relations strategies and the actual oversight of these activities in the field. Ensures that all company policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and/or municipal laws.
•Is accountable for ensuring that the field workplace is free of all discrimination and harassment by proactively measuring employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and/or municipal laws.
•Ensure that each business unit and their respective locations maintain a work environment that is conducive to employee self-representation.
•Leads field training operations, from entry-level jobs through regional business leaders, to ensure that competency development is aligned with the Company’s vision and to optimize the operational effectiveness and accountability of the business units. Assists with the development and assessment of training needs for leaders of each business unit.
•Drives continuous improvement and service delivery excellence throughout the field HR functions by identifying and adopting best practices, maintaining a proactive sense of the business’ needs, and the analysis of competitor’s activities with the business sector.
•Provides leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
