Music doesn't have to directly 'worship satan' to be controlled by him. As much as we would like to think, we're constantly always being driven by something. We don't just do something or think something without that thought or action having a source. Within the spiritual realms of things there are only two sources: God and Satan. In the end, our lifestyle can only be driven by one so now the question is to the music I listen to, the movies I watch, and the television I watch, is my purpose or is the purpose of those things driven by God, or by Satan. One or the either.
I do believe that a lot mainstream music affects the masses today when people don't even notice it. Just try abstaining from it for a few weeks and see how different your mindset is.

i got the annex. anybody got info on that besides what's in the brochure?
The annex like he said above is the best dorm at Howard. It has its own cafeteria, a/c, store, and no community bathrooms. Alot of people that don't stay in the annex think that those girls aren't social, but it all depends on the person. I know I had a ball. There are the occassional flooding problems tho.
the annex is not the best dorm on campus honey.
i'm guessing there's no need to enlighten us on which one is the best.
Aside from the Towers I would say that Cook and the Annex are the best. Some people would say Meridian though, but it all depends on what type of atmosphere a person enjoys the most. Don't think too glorious though, the best housing will still bring a lot of complaints. That's why I don't plan on being on campus every year.
This may sound funny but are window mounted fans or AC window mounted ones allowed?
I believe box fans are accepted but I'm pretty sure they won't allow window mount ac's. Your best bet would be to get a portable sitting ac, but seeing that that's really expensive, you should check into those vertical tower fans. If you have 2 of those you should be set. It will still be hot, but you won't die.
On campus you'll find that there are A LOT of international students, although most are still black, but from a different culture. There definitely aren't too many whites, but there are a few. The statistics are actually about right. There's some indians (from actual India), an asian or two, and some middle eastern students. You definitely get a lot of diversity though just because there's so many different backgrounds coming together in one place and just from my experience, I can say that there is a transfer of cultures for the most part.

It's one of the best dorms on campus, but it just loses points for creatures and for the lazy and brainless mindset that it can drive one into with a cafe and plasma screens and such. In short, if I wasn't a male, I would live there....Actually, I would still live there if they allowed me to.
Hmm im starting to over think frazier lol! Its further from the yard and my main classes and knowing myself, ill be late to my morning classes if i dont wake up on time! Any tips or suggestions on getting to morning classes on time?
Learn how to jump straight out of bed and literally go straight to class all while being prepared and looking half decent. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Kenya, it must of been a long time ago if you think there's a such thing as living around the heat lol.
i didn't go to open house. i'm not going to any of the pre-orientations. for a school i'll see 4 years of i just can't afford the airfare back and forth from the bay to DC. however, i'll be hitting up the hip-hop theater festival in july, possibly as a performer, so folks who live in that area should check me out. i have 17 days until i graduate. i'm hella excited about howard and no, i will not stop saying "hella" when i get there. i wanna connect more with people on here so click a button at the bottom, please.
Don't worry about having to change your lingo we don't discriminate like that here... But that fact still remains that you cali people got screws loose ... I would put j/p but I'm not lol...
Another stereotypical moment brought to you by:
Jason
O yea... You cali people along with Fl people smile way too much. What's so funny?
Is anyone staying or does anyone know of anyone staying in Cook Hall next year? I'm due for a double and I don't know who my rommate is going to be so it would be nice to know before August. So drop me a line...
It's actually around 9-10 thousand less... don't let the costs stress you out too much.... Half the students at Howard including myself have issues with where there tuition will be coming from next semester and that half perseveres...most make it...
