Stereotypes within FAMU's campus:
Greeks are the supposed upper echelon. {INCORRECT}
Northerners are rude and unfriendly. {TRUE}
The best future husbands are Business and Pharmacy majors. {HMM I may have to agree}
Everyone wants to be Greek, and those who say they don't are lying. {FALSE}
Southern women are more innocent. {FALSE}
Northern women are more "experienced" and forward. {MAYBE MORE FORWARD, but not always more experienced}
Being elected into the royal court guarantees you a spot on someon's line.
Those involved in SGA, are only involved b/c they are poli sci majors or interested in being Greek. {not 100% true}
Guys from Cali are pretty boys. {mostly TRUE}
Guys from Alabama are the most mannerable. {TRUE}
Guys from Miami are freaks and players. {maybe}
Half of our students are dopeboys, dreadheads, strippers, and video girl wannabes AND half are very business-minded, ambitious, quite conservative. {Most people seem to have both sides in them if you ask me!}
I would tell all freshmen to enjoy your first year. Go out as much as you can, but remain focused. People don't expect much from you as a freshman, and no one is really watching your actions. After freshman year, everyone wants to know what you're doing, interested in doing, and going to be doing. Respect yaself, but have fun. TRUST NO ONE... remember you have just met everyone.
Most of those are on point...I don't think us Cali dudes are pretty boys tho! Maybe compared to the dudes from other places who just look grimey, and we are real particular about how we look...but to me, pretty boys carry that pretty boy attitude...."damn that foo got some dope J's on but ain't even matchin!!" "I ain't gettin out the car, I got on my house shoes and I ain't even brush my hair today!" u kno?
"Everyone wants to be Greek, and those who say they don't are lying. {FALSE}" - Greeks and greek-aspirants SWEAR that is true...u donno how many of my friends claim I wanna be greek just because my parents are FAMU greeks and I know so much about it. "You kno u wanna do it, u just scared"
I added more to my original post. O yea, I always see you around at random times!
All together it took an hour for all those songs to be "composed"... But hey I can't front, b/c I definitely have them on my computer!! I have been southernized after the past couple of years.
Pacific islanders and Filipinos are sexy. Egyptians are fine, Ethiopians are gorgeous (my hair stylist is fine!), and of course any South or Central American is usually the business.
To be honest, I couldn't see myself with a possessive, chauvinistic Nigerian man.

As you may or may not know Greek Life at FAMU somehow becomes intertwined into every other part of the school. And this is DEF. the case with Ms. FAMU elections. Although elections are not until Feb. each prospective candidate is forming their "ILLEGAL" 8) teams. One of the candidates is a member of ABC; which also happens to be the BGLO that I am interested in. Another candidate is a member of XYZ, and as of right now she is the top choice. The last candidate is popular BUT she isn't greek. And LORD KNOWS when the last time a non-greek won. The situation is the non-greek asked me a LONG time ago (B4 I knew the other two were running) to help her with her campaign and since she helped me with my campaign for freshman attendant I thought it was only right. NOW the member of ABC is asking me to help her and I KNOW that could really help me in terms of getting to know other members. :-D Some people have told me to get on team with the member of ABC since that is what I want to be and that is what everyone else has ALWAYS done. Would it be wrong to get off my Non-greek friends team to get on the member of ABC? :???: Also, I have a friend who already is a member of ABC's team (because she knows and likes her more) EVEN THOUGH she wants to be XYZ, this is considered GREEK SUICIDE , do you think I should tell her to switch teams so she won't MESS HER SELF UP before it's too late...PLEASE HELP ME!!! :o :o :o :o
Being that I attend FAMU, I understand your post exactly. I feel that since you are a freshman, it won't matter AS MUCH who you help campaign. But by helping the woman who is apart of the sorority you wish to join, you can meet others and mingle with them. Just remember that you don't HAVE to vote for the person you help campaign. But, I don't know... You are definitely in a bind.
What if you didn't help anyone? You don't have to be on a campaign team. Being on the woman in ABC's campaign team may be too blatant and indiscrete, so I suggest you proceed with caution.
I think it will be straight when more people get on it.
PERSONALLY, Facebook has become boooorrring to me now.
Well I really don't have time for either one now days...
Have you all registered with this site? Wich do you feel has the most potential for growth?
