That's kinda what I thought the situation came to...but the fact still remains...no matter if they are greek or not...if it aint your man...it aint your busines...thats just something that I abide by so I've always wondered what made greeks feel as if they are entitled to be in one another's business like that?
Now I'm not saying its everybody...but in this particular brother/sister situation...it really irked my nerve because here at the local PWI it isn't like that...then I went to Jackson and my whole view changed
I have a serious question to ask ya'll because I witnessed something at JSU that kinda hurt my feelings...
It hurt me because I have been fascinated with the idea of the Divine 9, how everything came to be, the history, everything.
Now I understand that each sorority/fraternity claims one another...And I understand that they have a somewhat brother/sister bond...
But...why is that when someone who is non-greek or not a member of that sorority dates a member of the fraternity that they "claim" , the members of said sorority like to act a fool...well I wouldn't say act a fool...but things do get a lil outta hand?
It happened to me my freshman year in college, and then to a couple of friends who were fooling around wit some of the ques. That bothered me alot because as I see it...it shouldn't matter who they date because it is not their business...but I really wanna know whats the basis behind situations of that venacular...carry on!
Well, I'm not ashamed to admit I was in a HS Sorority, Ladies of Gamma, GQA Inc. We were chartered, had a constitution, bylaws, etc. Now that I'm in DST, I can honestly say that things are both similar and different. I was in love and very active in that organization, which ultimately helped me in A LOT of ways. GQA has kind of died out but they are still around (My little sister is one). It was definately an experiance and I do remember getting clowned once at TSU by a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. I don't see anything wrong with them as long as you don't rep it after HS graduation, lol. I think there was already a thread about this though.

I was an archonette up to my junior year and it was cool. we even have our own little conferences but like for some reason the archonettes in the south were throwing up like different signs than the ones up north. One girl that was an arkee with me even told me that some up in like washinton through up the actual ZPB sign. Our advisor would have murked us
That's exactly what happened to us...one of my Archonette advisor's who was over our step team told us that it was ok to do it...We got our asses busted and suspended for like 2 weeks from all activities. When I came to college...being an Arkee did help me gain some respect as far as the Sigma's and Zeta's went but at the same time...it made it harder amongst my circle of friends...because they saw me hanging around them as me suckin up for pledge time...so in a way it has its advantages but soon as you hit college...you should hang the shirts, paraphenalia up and start from scratch!

1. As much as this sucks...I'm continuously attracted to Sigmas...I CANNOT seem to get away from men of Phi Beta Sigma...but now...Que's seem to be on my ass alot.
2. Maybe it was because when I was an Arkee in high school..they couldnt touch me...maybe it was because I was a freshman...I have no clue!!!
3. Stories...oh gosh...Sigma story: I had the finest sigma in the history of the University of Mississippi Phi Beta Sigma Eta Beta chapter!!!!! Good business...didn't work out tho!!! The Sigma's at JSU are hella cool...altho me and one of em had a situation that to this day still pisses me off (WUG>>>SHUT UP)
Que story: The infamous Que's at JSU...the many house parties at the frat house...Never knew a Que could actually cook til then...hmmm???

1. I have talked or messed with one from each the 4 bglo sorrorities at some point and time in my life and i would have to say that I got a thing for AKA's and Deltas. I love my the delta's but sometimes they can be a little to strong willed. I love AKA's, I dunno why. that pretty girl image just do something too me..

An interesting topic...back when I was in high school...I was in an auxillary group under one of the sororites...and I've seen the branding process first hand...it looks like it hurts like hell...but at the same time...while they were burning the shit out of em...their sorors and brothers were singing some kinda song and being there for em...
THat night I seen like 3 girls get branded on their lower backs and ankles and like 5 males get brands on their arms and chest...
I haven't see a Delta or AKA brand before...but it would be interesting to see what it looked like.

Well me personally I wouldn't do it because I feel as if it is degrading myself... I am almost 21 (still young) and I don't see how a woman can enjoy doing that. I honestly can't see myself doing that for any man.... I guess I won't be getting married but if I had to choose one person to do it to it would definitely be the man I marry. But I have trust problems so i'm not gonna do it.... Don't get me wrong I don't recieve head neither I don't like that Sh*t neither.
