O.K. This post topic is getting ugly. They don't call the Bible the book of life for nothing. I am not the type of person that can rattle off scripture just like that, but I study the Word everyday and get daily Bible verses sent to my email.
There are many reasons why things happen to people. Everything happens for a reason. As far as people being born with birth defects, etc., you can look at Matthew 7:14-21. It speaks about that.
God is perfect. There is no way to dispute that. He is. He gives everyone the right to free will. He is the ultimate and only judge. He gave us commandments to be followed. He also gives punishment when due. It is written in the Bible where many things happen to people for different reasons.
There is a Bible story about a believer in God who got everything taken away from him: family, earthly posessions, everything. This was to test his faith to see if he would continue to love God and follow Him or become a nonbeliever and go astray.
There is another story of a man that followed everything that God told him to do. God told Him to sacrifice his son. Before the man was about to carry out his instructions to kill his son, God stopped Him. He commended Him for truly following his Word to that degree.
This post was about an opinion. I do not condone gay marriage. That is not in God's plan. He created Man and Woman to procreate and bring forth new fruit. Gay relationships cannot do that naturally. The definition of marriage in the dictionary is:"the legal union of husband and wife;the ceremony, civil or religious, by which two people of the opposite sex become husband and wife. Gay relationships don't have to be condemned, but it is incorrect to recognize it as marriage.
I am totally against it. The Bible is the truth, the way, and the light. You can't even procreate from same sex marriage naturally. God created Adam and Eve for a reason... Read the Bible. It's all in there. They don't call it the book of life for nothing. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel.
