I agree that 10 – 14 days is too long for a cruise. If I did it, I would leave from Italy and take a shorter cruise. Therefore, I can spend a few nights visiting Italy (Rome, Venice, etc.) and experience the Mediterranean cruise.

I agree that 10 – 14 days is too long for a cruise. If I did it, I would leave from Italy and take a shorter cruise. Therefore, I can spend a few nights visiting Italy (Rome, Venice, etc.) and experience the Mediterranean cruise.
Yeah, I made it to Italy, but it wasn't a cruise. My dad was stationed in Germany so our church group took a tour down there for a couple of days ... bus ride.
Italy has one of the most beautiful countrysides I have ever seen!
