Gay marriage? Posted on 10-16-2003

Several states are considering drafting legislation to legally recognize homosexual marriage, and afford rights to gay couples as are extended to married heterosexual couples (for example tax credits, rights to each other's property etc). Do you support or oppose this, and why? Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion. Holla!

Yeah because that's their personal life... so far the only reason people oppose this law is because it's immoral and unnatural so says the bible... whatever happened to seperation of church and state...

I am totally against it. The Bible is the truth, the way, and the light. You can't even procreate from same sex marriage naturally. God created Adam and Eve for a reason... Read the Bible. It's all in there. They don't call it the book of life for nothing. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel.

Pamptgrn95, I totally feel what you are saying as I am totally against that too. But you're going to have some people saying, "How do you know the bible is true. I don't believe in it.", and stupid mess like that. I'm not condeming homosexuals. If they want to be together and do their thing, I could care less, as long as it don't affect me. But in my eyes, I could never recognize them as a married couple, no matter what the law says, because there is a higher Law (God's Law) that far exceedes all man made laws, and it recognizes this as unatural and wrong. But if there were a law passed in favor of gay marriages, oh well what can I do. People are going to live their lives the way they want to and who is anybody to intervene? I say that we all are going to be judged by God, so let everyone be accountable for their actions and don't prevent people from doing what they want, just worry about your own life.

The first thing that I would like to say is no where in the United States Constitution, can you find the separation of CHURCH AND STATE it was a notion came up by THOMAS JEFFERSON. Ok, now we all know that it is immoral and totally not normal for person of the same sex to have intercourses together. Now, you don't even have to be a Christian to plainly be able to agree that it is corrupt, wicked, and just not natural. Now if we look at the way that we have been created we notice that the anus is not the place to stick it, and that a woman needs more than just a dildo to satisfy her needs. ok, I personally believe that if any one person say's that it is ok, and normal I feel that they have issue themselves with there sexuality. (Trying to make it easy for folks to come out of the closet) I hate to say it but they are living in sin,-Christian They are unrepented Muslims Or they are just plan unrighteous folks! Prince-

Are you serious.... nowhere in the constitution.... it's in the first amendment MAN...
Amendment 1 wrote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
if that does not seperate curch from state then what does it do... why do you think the government can't give money to private religious based schools to be used on anything nonsecular... maybe b/c it goes against the constitution :roll:
amendment 14 wrote:
No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;
Meaning, what the federal government is prohibited from doing, the states also are prohibited...

its their lives and they have made a commitment to each other so yes they should be afforded the same benefits and even thou many people base their disagreement with this on the bible, a lesson no one seems to remember is that they should not to pass judgment this may not be your particular sin but we are not without it so don’t cast stones. we are all entitled to have our own opinions, but you shouldn’t force it on others.

Maybe they should send all the lairs and the thieves and the murderers and the adulterers and the ungodly, ect etc etc to their own islands... Everyone has their own cross to bear... Live your life and stop worrying about the other man... Besides the Lord says judgement is mine... But I guess I'm one of the few who remembers that rule... --Damn where's anonymous when you need him...

I don't think they should be able to marry each other in regular churches. They should establish their own gay church and do their thing if that's what suits them. Daslimone Wrote:

You ain't the only one that said that. I've read other posts by people on this board that said the same thing in a different context :roll:
