Several states are considering drafting legislation to legally recognize homosexual marriage, and afford rights to gay couples as are extended to married heterosexual couples (for example tax credits, rights to each other's property etc). I keep hearing people talk about how gay people are going to hell cuz its in the bible and its not right. People can we please except and understand that the christian religion that we know was not black peoples original faith ...matter fact all major religions were forced on a people at one time to make them inferior to the oppressor. The north Africans and the muslims religion. The blacks and hispanics in the americas (christianity). Though there is no life without man or woman we can also say that this world is very big and we do not know everything and what we like to except as a sin might not be by true holy standards. This is by far one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard in my life! First off.....Religion is for whoever who will believe. There is no set religion for ONE ethnic group. So for you to make the statement that Christianity was not the religion of "black people" you do not know that. And I know that Islam was the dominant faith in Africa, however, you had better believe that somewhere, there were some Africans who were practicing Christianity. Second.....The world we live in is a big world, however, there is NOTHING new under the Sun! The Bible clearly defines homosexuality as a sin. If you read the Bible, it's all throughout the scriptures. God never intended it to be man and man. He created Adam and saw fit for him to have a "help mate" so He created Eve. If God thought a suitable help mate for Adam should have been a man, He would have made another man, but He mad a WOMAN! Third....God doesn't believe in Christianity...Dude....I'mma need you to go back to the thinking chair and sit down and put your Blue's Clues together. How can God not believe in Christianity. Christ is the ROOT of that word! Christ is the Son of God! Why would God not believe in His OWN Son? If He did not believe, He wouldn't have sit Him to Golgothas Hill to die for our sins! And for you to come on THIS message board and slander the character of an ENTIRE race because of what their ancestors did is quite malicious in my opinion. I am glad that those "wicked whites" as you would call them introduced us "black folk" to Christianity. It is by far one of the greatest things to ever come out of slavery. Yes, gay marriage should be instituted. I can't help who I love. I love my girlfriend just as much as any "straight" person loves their spouse. This shouldn't even be an issue. We deserve to be able to get married just as anyone else should. Right now we are focusing on school, but in the future, my girl and I would like to take our relationship to the next level and pledge our life to each other. I understand people sayin being gay is a sin, but what about judging others isn't that a sin too. I know I'm not perfect, but I also know that my loving the ladies isn't going to put me in hell no faster than hetero's judgin me. If any one knows where in the bible it says being gay is the number sin holla at me please.!

I just got in from bowling and I am pretty tired, but in any case. I find it my obligated Christian duty to try and help those which are lost. My sister in Christ, homosexual marriage in America should not be an issue, however, it is. The fact that for as long as this country has been in existence, one can recall marriage as being a holy and sacred ceremony between two lovers, who are of oppostie sex of each other and God! Me, being the Republican Brotha that am I stand for what is moral and what is right according to Biblical principles. In response to your question about someone showing you in the Bible(Holy) where it states that being a homosexual is the number one sin, there is not such thing as a number one sin. A SIN IS A SIN! THERE ARE NO UNEQUAL SINS! But in your leisure, you can look @ I Corinthians 6:9 and it will tell you about homosexuality. I will sum it up for you. If you do not inhereit the kingdom of God, that means you are going to hell. As I have stated over and over on the borads in response to this topic, God did not intend for man and man to marry nor did he intend for woman and woman to marry. When a MAN findeth a WOMAN he findeth a good thing. Not when a man finds a man or a woman finds a woman.
If I were not a believer of the Christian Faith I would whole heartdly agree with you when you say that you and your girlfriend should be together, however, because of the STRONG CHRISTIAN VALUES that have been instilled in me, I cannot stand in favor of such immorality! I am not standing in judgement of what you are doing nor am I condeming you, but I am simply telling you what the Lord our God says. No one sin is greater than the other. Lying, adultery, and homosexuality are all equal in the eyes of God. However, it is one thing for a person to sin, but it is another thing for a society to endorse a sin as an acceptible practice. For a society to accept and condone any sin is to initiate the inevitable destruction of that society. You don't even need to look at our American society as it is today to see examples of it. You can look at Sodom and Gomorrah, the Greek and Roman empires, the effects of the sexual revolution, and the continuous deterioration of the African American culture.

I totally agree with your statement. I have said that in previous post about people who are homosexual believe that God made them that way and its no way they are gonna change.
I would like to take the time to BRIEFLY explain this thing about "sin". A sin is when you KNOWINGLY do wrong. God gives no one a license to practice sin either. A person how is homosexual is content with the fact that they are gay and the tend to believe that God is okay with them being that way. God is not pleased with that sin or any other sin for that matter.
If you are Gay/Lesbian and do not attempt to change your ways or ask God forgiveness, then how is that you expect to inherit the Kingdom of God? "If My people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, seek My face and TURN from their wicked way, then will I hear from Heave and heal their land" II Chronicles 7:14.
God will heal you of homosexuality, ONLY if you pray to Him to do it, Trust Him to do it and TURN from doing it. Its like saying, you can't expect to quit smoking crack if you are smoking it on a daily basis! Duh...You must turn from the wickedness and God will heal you and your light will shine so bright, that you will be a lamp unto those who are lost in the darkness.......Be Blessed on this day, but more imporantly, Be Blessed in the Lord.
