Several states are considering drafting legislation to legally recognize homosexual marriage, and afford rights to gay couples as are extended to married heterosexual couples (for example tax credits, rights to each other's property etc). Do you support or oppose this, and why? Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion. Holla!

I have answered this question on a Political Level, NOw I will try to answer it again humanistical(I may have misspelled that one)
1. I do believe that a Person can be Born GAY
The reason I say this is because WE ARE BORN In Sin. Homosexuality is a Sin.
2. I hate to say this but I feel that we focus to much on the sin and not the soul of the perosn we must reasearch why this person is the way that they are. Many PEOPLE and maybe folks in here have been molested,Fondled, Raped etc. This may have caused the person to believe that they are GAY! I think we need to deal with the person and ask them what make them want to be with a man/women.
3. Statistic say that EVERY MEN/WOMEN has Dreamed about or will dream about being with a a partner of the Same Sex. Now statistic also say that many people are turned on by people of the Same Sex but will never act on it.
4. In summary I will say that I don't agree with Gay and Lesbo Marriages it is againist the Word Of God ie the Bible or for Islamic Folk the Koran. No Major World religion will Agree with Same Sex Marriages. Lastly, why do we alway talk about the Homo but never the Liar the Masterbater, Yes I said the Masterbater the brotha who is a Theft. Folks who are christians all of these thing are wrong and are a Sin, So why don't we stop placing levels of sin because they are all sin to GOD. No Big Sin or Little Sin.

But serioiusly...I think gays should be allowed to marry, legally, and if they want to do so religiously then they should do so in whatever church agrees with the practice. My reasoning...yes, it's in the Bible, and so many believe it's wrong, and the Pope says this and that...and truthfully, the country was built on Judeo-Christian principles. But realistically, the state is supposed to separate itself from religion -- by not establishing one and by not endorsing any one religion -- and if the whole premise is religion, then the government has no business banning homosexual marriage.
If it's the whole procreation must be saved thing...well, damn, I haven't heard a worse argument yet. Heterosexual people will continue to do the do and have kids no matter how many gay people there are.

I think the important thing is to realize that the question is not do u agree with homosexuality but with gay marriages. not letting two homosexuals join together in marriage will not stop homosexuality, they are not going to say "oh we cant get married so ill b straight now"...not gonna happen. there are a lot more issues behind this whole situations including adoption and insurance issues, etc. lets not forget that...

If you believe that a marriage is an institution under God, who has commanded us to be Christians and not sin, then it would be ultimately blasphemous to say that Gays can be married. Why? It's the one thing God has commanded of us, that a man and a woman should be together and though a man can like another man, his sexual acts towards the man make him Gay. YOU DONT GO INTO MARRIAGE PLANNING ON SINNING.
What, are you gonna be gay and not have gay sex? Thats the only way the marriage between two men (or women) could consummate (or whatever the word i needed) their marriage and validate it under Christianity. Dont deny that this nation was founded on Protestant religions, though meant to be a haven to all beliefs STILL STANDS STRONG ON THE BIBLE AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

You know, I said something like that in a different post and people looked at me like I was crazy. People were like "Yeah, but havent we learned that Separate but Equal doesnt work?" And Im saying, "Hey hey, dont sh** on my religion because of your own personal Beliefs. Marriage is a BIBLICAL THANG!"
So what youre saying is, get your own ceremony and words that say under the law of America you are seen as a couple, having the same last name, and will not procreate but die because you cant have children unless you impregnate someone (or get impregnated if its a Lesbian marriage). I dont see a problem with that, as long as you give them the same rights and DISADVANTAGES that married people have. Yeah, thats right. THE SAME. Because there is a such thing as Marriage tax, and if they want in on this institution they should have to go through things my parents had to when they got married.

i know that we all are supposed to be the liberal minded young adults of the next generation, but let's just be real for a second-- Homosexuality is an abomination.. It is a direct sin against GOD... AND i am further angered by the fact that when these gay people get married, they have the nerve to bring GOD's name up in this union... GOD realized that man had certain needs and desires... so to prevent him from boning animals and other men, GOD placed women here to accompany man and be his support and co-worker.
