Several states are considering drafting legislation to legally recognize homosexual marriage, and afford rights to gay couples as are extended to married heterosexual couples (for example tax credits, rights to each other's property etc). I didn't choose to be gay.
What I choose is whether or not I hide who I am, I choose whether or not I will be honest with myself and others, I choose whether or not to love and accept myself as G-d made me, and I choose whether or not I will be a good person and make choices to help and uplift or to beat others down...I choose how far I am willing to let my compassion and understanding stretch, and I choose whether I will be in a monogamous, loving relationship or not (no, the two are not mutually exclusive, like many people think).
And, lastly, I agree with you 110%...G-d does NOT make mistakes. Here I am, this is me, and I am a child of G-d, and He didn't make a mistake making me anymore than He did you. We are different, in many ways, but for reasons beyond our understanding, that is the way it is.

I just happen to be scrolling through the topics as so many of you do on a regular basis and came across this topic which seems to be highly controversial. It appears that are two arguments going on. One being it's morally wrong and the other being that it's their business so just let them do it.
I am sort of tied between the two. When I look at it from a spiritual view point I cannot fathom the thought of a man marrying another man or the same with a woman. If God, who is the giver and taker of life and is PERFECT in ALL His way, would have wanted man and man to marry or a woman and another woman to marry, he would have made it that way! But, because they cannot produce life, he did not make it that way. The purpose of marriage is to enter into HOLY MATRIMONY with not only your lover but God as well. In this matrimony, you are to be faithful and fruitful. This is a commandment that God gave to Noah after He destroyed the earth. Two people of the same sex cannot be fruitful! In the first book of Corinthians, I believe its Chapter 6 verse 9 (I Corinthians 6:9) double check it, that talks about homosexuality. I also read a reply that someone wrote and it made mention of separation of Church and Sate, but I find that to be so funny because on the back of EVERY US DOLALR it says "In God We Trust" so how can we separate the Church from the State if we are printing that motto on the back of money that is printed by the state?
When I look at this from a non-spiritual view point, I would say, let them do their thing. But, I have a SERIOUS PROBLEM with the fact that homosexuals would want to be married INSIDE the church! That's a slap in the face of God! If you wanna be with someone of the same sex, let the courts approve of your marriage, DO NOT BRING IT TO THE CHURCH! What bothers me with same sex marriages is, when I see brothas who like other brothas, but they act so feminine. If you are a brotha and you like another brotha, that does not make you ANY LESS OF A MAN! Same for women too!
But overall, I must say that I am against gay marriages and not just because I am a God fearing Christian, but because it's immoral! What would possess someone to want to be someone of the same sex is beyond me. However, I am not here to judge. I will continue to pray for those who do have those desires and hopefully, God will remove that spirit of homosexuality out of you. But until then....those who are in same sex relationships, be safe. There are so many diseases out there and I would hate for you all to get caught up in it.
One more thing.....this is for the brothas. If you are on DL, come up. Don't go between men and women, especially is yall are having sex. That's why AIDS is wiping out the African American community, because brothas won't come clean! Well, that's about all I have to say on this topic. Again, I am not out to offend anyone, just stating my views on this subject. I do have gay friends and they are some of the coolest kats I know, but I still pray for them.

I am totally against that. Clearly this is a sin because the Bible says so. Sex before marriage is a sin too, so homosexuality is not the only sin. But the marriage of woman and woman or man and man-is completly immoral and i might add DISGUSTING :x . How can this be right? IN THE BEGINNING GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE, so if we were supposed to be with the same sex i think God would have made Eve into a Steve. Thats jus my two cents. :roll:

-For marriage to be such a sacred thing, the divorce rate sure aint gettin any lower. Honestly, is the world going to end by allowing gay couples to marry. Hell, its been happening for a while now in Hawaii, the world has not ended yet! The sun still shines, the grass is still green, the sky is still blue. Whatever!
From an legal standpoint, homosexual marriage is only fair. The constituition garuntees equal protection under the law. Marriage will be the only way that they can receive benefits such as home-ownership, file their taxes together, insurance, etc. Just because they sleep with a person of the same sex does not mean they do not deserve those same protections.
