WHAT IS THE BEST HAIR RELAXER? Posted on 10-22-2004

I JUST STARTED USING RELAXERS BUT I CAN'T TELL WHICH WORKS BEST. WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK? WHAT IS THE BEST RELAXER TO USE?

I like using those little boxes that has just the touch up in the box...I can't remember if it is Pink Luster's or Dark and Lovely....they work good. I also use Optium<---however you spell that?

shhhh...hope ya know COPA is just a mild form of a relaxer...less lye and some more random ingredients put in the mix....i havent used copa myself though, but if i was relaxed i would give it a try....but my hair even relaxed was worse than debbie allen's child :lol: ...i got that NATIVE AFRICAN (yet beautiful) INDESTRUCTIBLE BUSH OF GLORY!!! but yeah to my comforters lol, that was a long time ago, but nigguhs will make ya do some ish...especially uncle tom negroes from Howard U *hhmph* :? :? :? ...black men just need to get it together in general, hair isnt that serious *smh*....brainwashed bastids!!!!

fine fine FINE. I won't get copa. Gee golly. But um yeah, Vivian's (debbie's daughter) is SHO NUFF black. So yeah, kudos to u Shoya. Besides, i don't think your hair is that bad. I've seen worse in my day. Yeah...rock dat bush momma! *throws up fist*

I USE RELVON RELAXER IT WORKS GOOD FOR MY HAIR IT MAKES MY HAIR NICE AND SILKY SOFT FEELING. AND IT LIVES AND SHINE TO IT ALSO , I ALSO USE PAUL MITCHELL PRODUCTS TO WHICH WORKS REALLY GOOOD IT MAKES MY HAIR HEALTHIER.

Speaking of natural hair...I've been thinking of giving up perms and growing my hair out...not because I perfer one over the other...naww.. I perfer managable hair.... but perms have been breaking my hair off and I just want to go natural...now does anybody know anything about possible natural styles or a website that could show me maybe something I could do...cuz I just don't wanna be natural and out there....

WWW.Nappturality.com is a website for natural hair and it's very resourceful. You can browse natural hair albums, find a mentor or someone who can guide you through the process of going natural, get tips, and the whole messageboard is addictive. It has really helped me when I was so totally lost the first time I went natural. The website is down right now because of maintenance but it should be up and running again in a few days.
