I have spent a healthy amount of time at hbcus to understand that most of the students are ignorant. the masses are superficially educated - trained to lust for that which is baseless! students are so apathetic to the politic war that is being waged; they've allowed themselves to be categorized as "adamant democrats", lost in a world devoid of goals. the vote or die campaign was a PERFECT example. black students, collectively, INACTIVE AND INEFFECTIVE.

homecoming has been transformed into a hip hop/sexual melee that sullies the ground of some of the greatest scholars the world has ever known. (when trick daddy boisteriously repeats the words "Kill that baby, that baby ain't mine" in front of a crowd of women, and men, on the same Yard that struggled to better the condition of blacks, something has gone terribly wrong!)

first off, i wish people of all races would stop pointing to BET every time they wanna point out what's wrong with the black race. if you wanted to define a race by a single tv station, all white people would be goths and blonde bubbly airheads. second, i wanna say that black artists that go platinum or above more often than not have a predominantly white fan base. so why are YOU supporting this music that degrades us? why are YOU keeping institutionalized racism alive? these generalizations sound silly, don't they? i'm not telling you that you have no grounds for what you're saying. what i'm saying is that if you really care about things affecting black people today, then you should not be chastizing us, because that doesn't get anything done. slaves didn't slap their masters on the backs of their hands and say "you know you're wrong for what you're doing to us". they fought and they struggled, and there are those of us who are doing just that now. if those students on HBCU campuses are what you would call "dumb", at least they're on the campus. there are SO many out there who can't and won't even say that. tell me what you're doing to raise solutions to the problems you're so concerned about, and then maybe people will want to hear what you have to say.

IT HAD MORE OF A GOSPEL FEEL TO IT MORE THAN ANYTHING. PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT OH YEAH AND FOR YOU TO SAY THAT YOU AREN'T RACIST, THAT IS EXACTLY HOW YOU COME OFF. HOW CAN YOU CRITICIZE ANOTHER RACE/CULTURE (HBCU'S AS WELL) BASED ON HOW VIEW POLITICS, WHAT WE LISTEN TO, ETC. ARE HBCU'S ARE FILLED WITH THE AFRICAN AMERICANS WHO ARE TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THEMSELVES AS WELL AS THEIR COMMUNITY. May I ask what HBCU(s) you are basing this opinion on? In addition, have you made sure that you included ALL students in your obsevations and not just the ones that are the most visible (and therefore more than likely not at school do actually get an education or possibly not even enrolled in the school at all)?
