I am transfering from Clark Atlanta to Hampton this fall; I am 3 credits away from being a junior and I was told that sophomores cannot have cars on campus. My questions : Are there other places to park near campus if I were to bring a car? I am staying in the dorm CEC can anyone tell me about this dorm?

^^^wow...interesting transfer. Some people park their cars at the Convocation parking lot when they can't get a sticker....not sure how safe that is though. I think CEC is the Modulars....and that's a good place to stay. It's hardly like a dorm. It has huge rooms and each room has a seperate bathroom. There's no dorm director, so you would have 24/7 visitation.

CEC isn't the Modulars. The Modulars are the Modulars. I stayed in Holly Tree last year and I'm staying there again and CEC and Holly Tree are pretty much together. Miss Jones is our dorm director but she's reaaaaaaal cool. She doesn't stay at the dorm and she leaves at 5pm everyday so pretty much we're by ourselves after 5 and on the weekends. We have one RA and she's cool too. Holly Tree & CEC is real laid back and we don't have rules really.

Woo Hoo!! Go Holly Tree!! Hey, Megan... give some more info... is there any visitation at all (legal or illegal...) And to the girl needing help... I'm a sophomore and I'm bringing a car. Some of those dumb rules are made to be broken.

I guess I've been living in the same dorm too long.

Yes there are other places to park, but they're hard to come by. There are some visitor (no-decal required) spaces in front of the Library, as well as on Queen Street. Everyone else knows about those too so they're usually taken. Other than that, the nearest place to park is over the bridge.

Yes there are upperclass dorms. Upperclassmen do stay on campus it is just after freshmen year u aren't required to stay on campus so each year less upperclassmen stay on campus. The dorms aren't co-ed but it depends on what dorm u stay in cause some upperclass dorms have more freedom than others. I stayed in Mcgrew Towers last year and it wasn't that bad we had visitation but it was normally on the weekends.
