Job Description
Executive Assistant to Deputy Director for Communications (Classified, Non-Exempt)
The Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the Deputy Director for Marketing & Communications to help facilitate the museumís marketing and communications plans. The assistant ensures that all projects and relationships with both internal and external constituents receive timely response. In addition, the assistant will provide project management support and coordination; monitor and track budget submissions and spending and manage Deputy Directorís expenses; schedule and maintain directorís calendar; help develop team, Board and Trustee meeting presentations; provide research assistance; and manage domestic and international travel. This position requires the ability to perform in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision and a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism.
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge of professional executive office standards, practices and procedures. Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to effectively and accurately handle multiple tasks in a professional office environment. Maintain accurate records and files. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized and demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Compiles and analyzes information. Ability to work independently and as a team. Anticipates and resolves problems; maintains confidential information and works to negate or avoid office politics.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelorís Degree in Communications or related field preferred. Previous experience supporting senior leadership is required. Previous experience working with Boards and/or Committees is required.
