Description of Job Duties The Department of Biology is seeking an outstanding scientist addressing molecular, biochemical and genetic mechanisms underlying synaptic plasticity, its modulation, and its role in learning and memory, addiction, nervous system disease, or central mechanisms of pain. Develop a productive research laboratory, to contribute to our undergraduate and graduate programs in Biology and Neurobiology, and to the UTSA Neurosciences Institute and Brain Health Consortium.
Experience and Other Skills Required Relevant postdoctoral experience and demonstrated potential for excellence in Neurobiology. Expected to have external funding. Teach neurobiology courses offered within the Department.
