Digital Graphic Designer
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the layout, design and production of quality graphic design artwork. Requires working knowledge of graphic design software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Produces innovative design solutions to support internal communication efforts using a variety of technology and software solutions; Adobe Creative Cloud, SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
Creates and edits email using Microsoft Outlook, Dreamweaver and HTML.
Designs engaging PowerPoint presentations. Understands and can work with slide masters, animations, and custom templates.
Uses Photoshop to create and edit images, change image/canvas size, work with layer masks and adjustment layers. Optimizes images for use across all communication channels; email, web, and presentation.
Creates assets for corporate events, including agendas, signage, emails and web assets.
Authors intranet pages and articles on SharePoint using built-in editing functions (WYSIWYG), Bootstrap and HTML.
Sources stock images and maintains stock image library for team.
Confers with internal clients to determine design requirements and creative direction.
May work with vendors to estimate projects and oversee production.
Works on additional special communication projects.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to coworkers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Fine Arts degree preferred with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires ability to do project budgets and cost estimates.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires basic analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Must have a solid grasp of fundamental graphic design principles. Strong skills with Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and InDesign. Intermediate skills with HTML. Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Familiarity with MS Excel. Basic project management, editing and writing skills required.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for managing project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause impact to coworkers and supervisor.
