We are seeking a PLC Technician who will be part of the technical team for one of our Allentown, PA Manufacturing Plants. 

Key responsibilities include:

· Read and interpret electrical schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.

· Understanding of analog control loops: 4-20ma and 0-10vdc

· Process Control Instrumentation: modulating valves, flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, conductivity meters, RTDs, thermocouples, encoders

· Support factory network infrastructure and work closely with local and global IT teams

· Assist engineering in design, modification, and implementation of new equipment

· Make recommendations for continual process, cost, and efficiency improvements

· Ability to work with OEM telephone technical support to troubleshoot issues 


Qualifications & Requirements

Job Requirements:

· Proficient with Automation Software: RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, RS View Studio, RS Networx, RS Linx,

FT Asset Centre, FT Security

· Experience with machine level device communication networks: DH , DH485, Remote I/O, Device Net, Control Net, Ethernet IP

· Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions Systems (IFIX SCADA is preferred)

· Strong understanding of advanced PLC concepts: PIDs, Messaging, Add On Instructions, User Defined Tags, Indirect Addressing, Multi-Dimensional Arrays

· PC Management – Experience with MS Windows and MS Office

· Knowledge of industrial power distribution systems: 480VAC, 220VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC

· Motor Controls: VFDs, Soft Starts, Inline Motor Starters, Servo Control

· Strong fundamental knowledge of control and automated process designs and their applications to industrial systems

· Ability to troubleshoot advanced industrial control systems

· Experience with Industrial Utility equipment a plus: Chillers, Compressors, Boilers, HVAC

· Critical thinking with exceptional problem solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments

· Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment

· Ability to balance multiple projects and work to meet deadlines

· Degree in Engineering related field or 3-5 years related job experience
