Job Summary
The Quality Director for Direct Care and Treatment programs Mental Health Substance Abuse Treatment Services and Anoka Medical Treatment Center (MHSATS/AMRTC) is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to effectively support this healthcare network in its goal of providing quality services to the people we serve. The Quality Director supports the critical areas of compliance, risk management, quality assurance, and performance improvement. Every aspect of this fast-paced leadership role requires creativity to resolve problems and bring competing interests to a common solution.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Leading the implementation of a strategic quality plan consistent with the priorities, regulatory requirements, patient safety, healthcare quality best practices, and budget principles of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS) program and Direct Care & Treatment Quality Division
• Performing supervisory functions so that applicable employment-related actions are equitably administered and employees perform assigned job duties to achieve established objectives
• In collaboration with clinical and medical services, developing, maintaining and coordinating peer review processes including Root Cause Analysis, Provider Peer Evaluation, Adverse Health Event Reviews, Clinical Death Reviews, and other peer protected reviews
• Organizational planning and advising members of the Statewide Medical Executive Committee and Direct Care & Treatment Executive Team of quality assurance and performance issues requiring organizational solutions
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Supervisory or other leadership experience OR completion of leadership development program (L4, Emerging Leaders Institute, etc.)
• 4 years of professional risk management, quality, or compliance experience in a healthcare environment which demonstrates the following:
o Ensuring compliance with accrediting and licensing agencies such as Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Department of Health and Department of Human Services
o Application of quality assurance and program improvement strategies at various organization levels including division level, program level and site specific to support quality healthcare delivery
o Leading teams or processes
• Continuous Improvement Training

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in healthcare management, public administration, public health, law, or clinical health profession
• Experience in compliance and risk management
