Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

The Treasury & Merchant Services and Payments team, within PVSI/CBT Technology Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Web Developer that will focus on building and enhancing the strategic enrollments application, Wholesale Integrated Customer Enrollments (WICE). The candidate will also lead the strategy to retire the legacy enrollment application, Automated Enrollment Solution (AES).

This Senior Java Technical Lead will play a critical role in defining, designing, and implementing applications in the Wells Fargo environment. The selected developer will be responsible for communicating directly with internal WICE and AES business partners and members of the larger EIT organization while analyzing requirements, and delivering domain driven solutions.

The candidate will take previous hands-on experience in application development and maintenance, technology strategy and deliver innovative, yet practical solutions to the organization. The person must exhibit the ability to communicate ideas to all levels of the organization and must be capable of mentoring and overseeing junior developers. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply core development principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications.

This new hire will also address application vulnerability and remediation requirement tasks including those related to (BAR) Build and Release, Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD), and Release Management and Security. The role will bring deep understanding of SDLC principals and real life experience with vast variety of DevOps tools.

Other duties will include:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and, impact analysis for each project
  • Lead projects, allocate and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced developers
  • Provide individual and project support for complex projects or applications, adhere to project time lines and technical deliverables within different client environments
  • Provide expertise about standard practices on coding standards
  • Provide support for highly complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale SOR applications
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the developed applications
  • Review Requirements Documents and develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of systems
  • Produce architecture design documents to effectively communicate the solution to the business and provide direction for the development teams and infrastructure partners
  • Work with business and technology partners to prevent or solve difficult availability and performance problems
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs
  • Research new innovative tools and technologies and lead proof-of-concepts to drive adoption

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of web development experience; including programming and developing web applications
  • 10+ years of JavaEE experience
  • 7+ years of web applications experience
  • 5+ years of RPM packages experience
  • 5+ years of UI (User Interface) experience
  • 4+ years of Spring experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Programming and development of web applications experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 6+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
  • 5+ years of Middleware experience
  • 8+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 6+ years of JavaScript development experience
  • 3+ years of Agile experience
  • 3+ years of IBM BPM experience
  • 5+ years of application production support experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
