Controls Engineer
Our factory in Jefferson, Wisconsin is located in the southern part of the state at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers. We are one of the largest manufacturers within the area, shipping thousands of truckloads and railcars of product annually, including brands like Fancy Feast®, Elegant Medley®, Friskies® and Pro Plan®. Of this mass production, our Jefferson factory donates 1.2 million cans of food per year to support over 40 animal shelters and organizations.

Such leadership requires constant innovation and renovation, which is so often rooted in engineering. Our Controls Engineers assist in the development of plant long-term electrical and controls infrastructure. We’re everyday winners in the pet care category; but that’s never enough! Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Researches and specifies electrical equipment and material for plant systems improvements and capital projects.
  • Develops and/or leads project design, layouts and detailed drawings relative to assigned projects.
  • Develops and balances necessary project scopes, bids and contract documents for contractors and vendors.
  • Works with facility operations/maintenance to address and improve equipment or process performance problems.
  • Function as the experienced resource for control systems related problems the maintenance staff is unable to access.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 

Skills/Experience: 4 years’ experience working with controls systems in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment
