QA Floater
For more than 100 years, Purina has led the charge in revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. Nestle Purina has a large presence in Oklahoma City (OKC) with one of our dry pet food factories located just 10 miles outside of downtown in Edmond. Having served as a production facility for many years in this area as producers of Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Beneful® and Purina ONE® brands, we have left a big paw print on this charming western city.

In a typical 24-hour production cycle, we conduct 30,000 detailed quality checks involving ingredient/packaging, receiving, processing, and packing. That’s how much we care! As a QA Floater, you'll be empowered to continuously think “What’s Next?” and be challenged to do so with integrity, expertise, high performance, and passion. 
  • Analyze finished product using various test methods, including wet chemistry
  • Perform formulations including format, bin bottoms, ingredient changes, and fines utilization
  • Perform sensory evaluations of in process and finished product
  • Maintain Instrument calibrations
  • Execute hold product procedures in a timely manner and investigate and communicate all quality results
  • Analyze data and release product through formal release & GLOBE programs
  • Sample and test incoming ingredients that include, but are not limited to physical testing, salmonella and EB testing, environmental sampling, and testing rail cars, trucks, bins, sacks, and totes
  • Cover other positions in the event of loss of staff or vacations to provide relief

Qualifications & Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education and Experience: 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 year quality, food manufacturing, lab, or related experience OR a 2 year degree in a science or related field
