The Indexer associate places pouches into cartons and assures the continuous flow of the production line. Indexer stacks and maintains individual packaging material. Indexer also clears jams in a safe and efficient way. The Indexer is responsible for all QA requirements.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure packaging is indexed into cartons in a correct non jamming method.
Perform job rotations during the workday.
Ensure packages flow on conveyors correctly.
Operate efficiently; clearing jams of cartons as timely and safety as possible.
Rework packages to the line.
Inspect pouches of product for proper seal
Relieves out fellow indexers.
Chemical washdown of assigned areas using hoses and cleaning equipment as needed including minor adjustments and lubrications.
Must actively participate and embrace NCE principles.
Other duties assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Must have legible handwriting with attention to detail.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Detect and understand warning lights, buzzers, alarms or instruments indicating hazardous conditions or circumstances which may cause equipment or product loss and physical harm.
Must observe good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Must follow safety rules and procedures indicated in the Indexer SOP.
Must follow all chemical training and safety rules pertaining to EPSU cleaning
Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week on an assigned shift with some daily overtime and weekend overtime.
