QA Analyst I

Our factory in Crete, NE, located just 25 miles from the city of Lincoln, is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. as a mass producer of over three million cans of wet pet food per day, which include our Alpo®, Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies® and Pro Plan Veterinary Diets® brands.
As a Quality Analyst I, you will be responsible for testing samples of our finished products and communicating those test results with the appropriate departments. You will regularly interact with Production, Maintenance, and Product Safety. You will have the opportunity to cross-train and gain experience in multiple areas across QA to strengthen your skillset. Quality and safety are the promises we make on every bag, container, tub, and can – and we continue to deliver on that promise.
Perform tests for NIR (Protein, Fat, and Moisture), Date Codes, Temperature/Condensation, Package Seals and other QA tests as required ( process and finished goods)
Make recommendations and decisions on product holds and release
Monitor product formulas for accuracy
Participate and /or coordinate R & D testing as instructed under direction of Quality Assurance Manager
Monitor processing and packaging conditions to assure compliance to specifications
Coach production operators on quality requirements
Set up and maintain Sensory lab and product displays
Support packing inspections at changeovers

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications (Minimum):
High School Diploma/GED
1 years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, lab or related environment or 2 year degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
