Associate Director of University Housing Facilities Management
The Associate Director of University Housing Facilities Managementís overall responsibility is the management of personnel, budget, finances, equipment, and implementation of programs and policies, as well as strategic and long-range planning for buildings and grounds of University Housing.

The Associate Director manages and directs through subordinate supervisors and staff, the technical and administrative aspects of a physical plant operation (University Housing Facilities Management). Responsibilities associated with operation include building maintenance program; involving structures, HVAC systems, electrical components, grounds operation; involving all landscaping, grounds maintenance, upkeep of grounds equipment, snow removal, furniture moving and trash removal, housekeeping and custodial operation program; involving day to day custodial operation, comprehensive cleaning of vacant living units, housekeeping support including setup for conference housing.

Additional duties include: estimating, scheduling of existing facilities rehabilitation and new construction; departmental fleet management; recycling, energy maintenance and conservation; management of office staff through subordinate supervision that handle; work order control; daily work orders, reporting, projects monitoring and preventative maintenance; procurement activities including product specification, purchasing and payment of goods and services through purchase orders, open orders, and p-card; personnel matters including payroll, safety training, and time keeping; and property control.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
Bachelorís degree required in engineering, business administration, or construction management and a masterís degree is desirable.
Minimum of (6) years successful experience in planning, organizing and directing the work of journey-level work force including a working knowledge of business administration, engineering, architecture, and building operations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies.
Supervisory and management experience required in facilities management field, preferable in the higher education setting.
Computer skills necessary, ability to work with work order control software and familiarity to work with various software packages.
Excellent oral and written communication.
