“Secret Weapons that Men and Women use on each other - The Crying Game and the Silent Treatment" (4564 hits)

God willing this Sunday at 8:00 p.m.(EST), The Brother Marcus Show will return back to the airwaves back with another in depth discussion on Male / Female Relationships in our community. It’s been called the secret weapon of women all over the world – A woman’s incredible ability to break a man down through her tears! Is it true that women cry more often than men? Do some women use their tears as a form of emotional blackmail? Do men know what to do when their wife or another woman starts to cry? How should a man console an inconsolable woman? Should we both start crying together? Do real men cry? Why or Why not? Does a woman’s level of respect diminish for a man the more he cries? What are women crying over in this day and time? If you're a man who works with or is living with a woman, and the women around you cry and you don't know what to do – then this show is for you this week.

At some point in a Male / Female Relationship, a man may utilize one of his favorite secret weapons which is called, “The Silent Treatment”. The most common reason that a man uses the silent treatment tactic is to punish a woman for being a bad girl. Are you as a woman who is with an emotionally abusive man that gives you the silent treatment for hours, days or even longer to punish you? How should a woman react and respond to this kind of man? How does a woman determine if this is actually just a “cooling off” period and not the silent treatment? What is a better way for a man to react to his frustrations with his wife, family or his life? Do women even care anymore or are they actually happy when a man shuts up and leaves them alone for awhile?

By the way, please enjoy these two items for your reading pleasure!:

(1) Beauty of a Woman
A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:
"When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where love resides."

(2) A man and his wife had a fight and because he was very angry he was giving her the cold shoulder. The man realized that he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 a.m. for a business flight. Not wanting to break his silence, he wrote on a piece of paper, "Wake me at 5:00 a.m." The next morning the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 a.m. and he had missed his flight. Furious, he went to see why his wife didn’t wake him. That was when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed, which read: "It’s 5:00 a.m. Wake up."
