Millions of good Christians suffer unnecessarily with poor health and die prematurely. Why? Because we are not following the basic principles of health that are taught in the Bible. We slice, dice, chop, blend, hydrogenate, refine, and dismember God's food until there is precious little nourishment left in it. We turn bodies that are built for activity into bodies that can barely get off the couch. We repeatedly violate the body with drugs and surgery when prayer, rest, and good food are often the needed remedies. God wants us to be healthy. Throughout the Bible, there are numerous references to God's love for His people. John 10:10 "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Many people undergo painful, expensive, and debilitating back surgery when all they needed was some chiropractic manipulation and some exercises to strengthen the region. Many undergo open heart bypass surgery, which has been proven to offer no life extension, when they merely needed to change their lifestyle to clear out their arteries for good. Many people undergo surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome ( a painful condition in the wrist) when vitamin B-6 cures 97% of these people.
