HBCUSportsOnline's Top 10 Coaches In Black College Football (505 hits)
Its that time of the year when not a lot is going on in the sports world and football season is just around the corner. Idle time means we start to think about things “in depth” or late at night…
Things like who has the best band? Which school has the best homecoming? And who are the best coaches in black college football? Of course this is a subjective list but we tried to use some objective criteria.
The list is comprised of current coaches. As much as we love Jake Gaither, Eddie Robinson, John Merritt and Willie Jeffries, we kept the list limited to active coaches.
HBCUSportsOnline evaluated the coach’s overall career and recent success. Some coaches have had tremendous success over their careers but have not faired as well in recent seasons. Other coaches have won right out of the gate but their resume is not complete. Be sure to give us your thoughts on where we got it right and where we got it wrong…
