Make Moves Monday - 5 Steps to Move Excuses

Make Moves Monday - 5 Steps to Move Excuses
Posted By: Shauntae Jordan on October 31, 2011

What do you want to achieve over the next few moments of your life, hours, days, weeks, months, or years? What is keeping you from achieving your best self, results, or goals? Have you been putting off your dreams because of someone else, circumstances, fear, age, doubt, self-pity, or uncertainty?

The reason you have not become or received your greatest results at this point is excuses. Just the other day I had a conversation with someone who expressed his reasoning behind not acquiring a membership to the gym. The person went on about how he did not have time, his wife would complain, they had to work, they have a family, and so forth. I became quite dismayed by the excuses and found myself wanting to escape the daunting conversation. I began to explore the reasons this person could achieve a healthier lifestyle; they wanted to stay focused upon the negative.

Have you been living on Fantasy Island wondering why the boat has sailed pass you? Too many people decide to stay on the island of excuses; wondering why they have not achieved greatness. You fail to realize that greatness is captive inside of you. The excuses hold you in bondage; forbidding the reveal of a creative, vibrant, superior, optimistic, and positive you inside. Excuses “exclude you from living your best life.” Many people stay to close to Fantasy Island and don’t want to take the time to make the dream come true. To avoid the process of working on themselves they are constantly battling with excuses. Excuses have you tangled for minutes, hours, days, and years. You wonder why you have not advanced in your career, your family, your job, or any other avenue of success.

The greatest way to keep from achieving anything you desire is to welcome the excuse not to do something. One thing for certain is that excuses will always be there but not opportunities.

Do you know how much effort is takes to create an excuse? The time it took for you to ponder this question is too long. Anytime you allow an excuse to weaken your ability you become less capable of becoming who you were design to be. There is no excuse for not bettering yourself. Today is Make Moves Monday and for that reason you are expected to move the excuse from your lifestyle. Here are a 5 Steps you must make.

1. Discover what you want – You can’t get anywhere without knowing where you are going. Be honest with yourself and define what makes you happy. Begin to reveal your greatness from inside.

2. Take action – Excuses have no room when action is in progress. Begin to move out of your own way.

3. Can the excuse – Write down the excuses you have used in the past. Put them in a trash can and vow not to us them again. This may take some time! Begin to replace your excuse with affirmations of positivity.

4. Remove yourself from others mess – Remember there are a whole bunch of people who make excuses. Now that the world has one less because of you it will be require that you remove yourself from other people’s mess. At this point in the game you are not capable of listening to other people complain, create excuses, or dictate your time.

5. Make it happen – Success does not come overnight. Applaud yourself for making the agreement to make it happen. You will soon find that you have more time to achieve your goals because your mind is less focus on the cannot but focus on the “I am.” I am achieving my goal. I am happy! I am wealthy, abundant, and blessed. I am the greatness inside of me. Start repeating those and creating your own I am statement soon you will find I am is your greatest comfort.

I encourage to Move out the excuses and make room for abundant living, success, and perfect health!
