  • The primary role of the position RA will be to collect study data. Data will be collected on infants as inpatients in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care and intermediate care units of the Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital and as outpatients in families™ homes. Duties of the RA will include: Applying electrodes for Holter ECG recordings and making observations of the infant throughout data collection. Observing and assuring correct delivery of a skin-to-skin care intervention between mothers and infants. Recruiting and obtaining informed consent when the PI is not available. Making telephone calls to schedule data collection visits and monitor intervention delivery in the home. Entering data.

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to manage details, work independently, and meet deadlines.

    1. Master Degree or Bachelor's degree 1-2 years experience in health science field.
    2. Access to automobile for transportation to collect data in the community.

    Preferred Qualifications: Registered Nurse or graduate student in nursing. Interest and experience in working with infants and families. Experience with observational data collection methods.
