The Summer Affirmative Action Internship Program (SAAIP) assists state agencies and universities in promoting equal employment opportunity by providing them with a pool of candidates who are racial/ethnic minorities, females, and persons with disabilities. The program provides students with practical, on-the-job experience, training, and exposure to the Wisconsin Civil Service System. Many of the interns have succeeded in obtaining employment in state government as limited term or permanent state employees.
