Posted By: Hija Chang on April 24, 2012 The Corporate Sponsorship Program was established in 1976 to identify and recruit high-talent individuals seeking a career with a leading durable goods manufacturer. Each year the company’s corporate staff visits a number of the leading business schools and hires 20-25 high-potential MBA students. Since its inception, many MBAs have been promoted to leadership roles. Each year, Emerson offers about 20 summer internships to high-quality individuals in addition to the 20 to 25 full-time positions. Positions are located in major cities throughout the country and opportunities exist in strategic planning, supply chain, marketing, operations, technology and more. We are seeking qualified candidates in all functional areas. Job Requirements The Company looks primarily for MBA candidates with technical aptitude. Candidates are placed by functional area of interest. Three to five years of practical work experience is important. Successful MBA candidates are assigned directly to a line or staff position, depending on the company’s needs. Positions exist in marketing, operations, finance, strategy, procurement and more. Emerson believes the recruiting process requires the support of top management; as a result, these executives are involved in the recruiting and selection process.
