Alabama Hammers: Harris catching on now
|
Posted By: Hija Chang on May 04, 2012 By Reggie Benson, The Huntsville Times HUNSVILLE, Alabama - It had been more than two years since Thomas Harris last played in a football game. Harris, Alabama A&M's all-time leading receiver, played in the HBCU All-Star Game in the Georgia Dome in December 2009, but hadn't played since when Alabama Hammers coach Marty Hammond called and offered him an opportunity to play earlier this year. It showed as Harris struggled not only to shake off the rust, but also to master the indoor game. "I just had to get used to arena football," Harris said. "There's a big difference in running routes from the outdoor game to the indoor game. I'm getting adjusted to the indoor game. It's coming along." More: http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/05...
