The late Ernest C. Wither - Civil Rights Photographer used to say, "The picture tells the story"… Why do people insist on buying sweatshirts, Tee Shirts, Baseball caps, sneakers and so forth, as part of fashion and style boasting the manufacturers and or athlete's logo??? Actually that was more of a rhetorical question. I realize some of these athletes and manufacturers give to charities and so forth, but also know that for the most part, it's more about a tax right off and public relations image…The fact is, the manufacturers and athletes pay advertisers big money and play all of you as free advertising and makes unpaid walking billboards out of you, by convincing people this is fashion. Peer pressure at schools and worse yet in colleges. You're losing you identities…If you're going to make a statement, make it about something meaningful. If you're going to invest your money on something to wear, say something about yourselves and not a manufacturer and or athlete. Buy a sweatshirt and a place on it a piece of art, musician, historical figure, a museum or just has your family's tree or your family name - you're proud of them aren't you??? Show you have culture and want others to learn from your example. There's nothing to learn from a manufacturer's and athlete's logo except that you’re a walking unpaid advertising eunuch…Freedom of the mind is the beginning of all Freedoms…
