Behind Stress and Worry Is Your True Power

Posted By: Hija Chang on May 09, 2012

by Walter Jackson & Janet Alston Jackson

Did you know that right where you are now is all the peace and tranquility that you are seeking?

You don't have to go on an exotic vacation.

Often people save their hard-earned money for years just to go on the vacation of a lifetime. But, they find when they finally "get away from it all," that time is filled with even more stress. They have looked forward to that time off for so long, but the vacation cannot match their imagination. It just didn't turn out like they wanted.

The great thing is that you can use your imagination to create that place of peace and tranquility anywhere at anytime. It doesn't cost you one penny. You can use your mind, instead of allowing your mind to use you, which only creates stress.

There are many ways and to tap into peace. Yoga, diet, religion, hypnosis, and of course meditation.

They all will work. But you will only find temporary relief unless you look at why you are stressed out besides the obvious reasons: people getting on your nerves, finances, job stress etc.

Down through the ages, spiritual masters have said one consistent thing, no matter what faith you are following. When you are stressed and can't find peace, it's because you feel separated from the Source, your Divine, Higher Self.

So if you feel separated, you feel like you are drifting out on a violent, stormy ocean by yourself. You feel that you must do something to help you to relax and remain calm, but can't find peace no matter how hard you try.

The truth is simply turning within to your Divine Self is enough.

A great way to connect is to think of yourself like a branch on the Tree of Life. Everything that tree has, you too have as well. Perfect health, perfect harmony, perfect relationships, and perfect security. Tapping into it, is simply a matter of awareness.

Try This Simple Exercise.

A great way to connect is to think of yourself like a branch on the Tree of Life. Everything that tree has, you too have as well. Perfect health, perfect harmony, perfect relationships, and perfect security.

Tapping into it, is simply a matter of awareness.

Find a quiet place, and imagine that you are connected to the Divine, that great tree of life. Know that everything in that tree is naturally, abundantly and easily flowing to you. You don't have to do a thing, except to know that right now it is happening. Why? Because it is true.

You are powerful. However, when your mind says "I'm in charge, and you should worrying about ______," and "You should be doing something instead of sitting still," this takes you away from your inner peace which is right where you are.

So just let those noisy thoughts come. Don't try to stop them. Label them "worry thoughts," "fearful thoughts," or whatever you like. When you label them they don't control you. Those thoughts may come in dribbles, or they may come like an avalanche. Don't fight them, just be aware, and you will notice they start to slow down, and they don't have the power of you as they did before.

You have already been given everything, but in order for you to tap into the gifts of the Divine Tree of life, you must know that you are connected to that source energy.

Give yourself a break from the news, the Internet, politics, and anything that says the opposite. Find inspirational books, music, and spend more time with the people who support you. Create your world of peace, don't wait for it to happen, or you'll be waiting for eternity for that short vacation.

Remember, you are a branch on that great Divine Tree.

You cannot physically separate from your Source, but you can mentally. And when you turn away from the Divine and try to rely on outside sources, that's when you are scattered, fearful, and worried.

Know that right here and now, everything you need is flowing to you despite the appearances. Your awareness is all you need for the gifts of life to come to you.

Turn to your source, and know that whatever you are going through is already taken care of. Everything you need is coming to right now. You will then tap into peace and power.
