Would you please consider sending me a friend invite on facebook, then allowing me to place your name within the HBCUs ON TRIAL FOR MASS GENOCIDE OF DIASPORAN SCIENTIFIC PROGRESS. I know that this title may lead one to think that this is a " we hate HBCUs " club. The opposite is true. We are just a group of black scientists, and others, who are concerned that students on HBCU campuses may not be ready for the culture shock of entering the " real world. " When we read things that HBCU officials and students present to the world, we find it unsettling that, outside of sports and social clubs, very little is posted regarding the rigors that the " real world " consists of. The black students on majority white campuses ARE ready for the real world, because they deal more closely with the realities that we feel HBCU students are shielded from, sometimes. The group is ENTIRELY CLOSED, and our ultimate goal is to get at least one student, faculty, or staff personnel from each of the 104 HBCUS to join our group. In any case, any accomplished person of color is welcome to express opinions ( scientific, sociological, political, etc ) about their journey towards success.
