President of Paul Quinn to participate in Twitter chat about the future of HBCUs (465 hits)

Dallas, Tex. - Michael Sorrell, the president of Paul Quinn College, will participate in a Twitter discussion, "Which HBCUs Will Survive the 21st Century and Why?" on Monday, August 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., central time. Users will be able to log on to Twitter and utilize the hash tag #HOPEChat to view and participate in the conversation. President Sorrell's Twitter handle is @michaelsorrell. He will be the only HBCU president involved in the discussion.

Also participating in the conversation with be: Dr. Marybeth Gasman (@marybethgasman), Professor of Education at the University of Pennsylvania; Dr. Crystal DeGregory (@HBCUstorian), Assistant Professor of History at Tennessee State University; and Thomas Joyner, Jr. (@TomJoynerFound), President of the Tom Joyner Foundation. The event is hosted by the The H.O.P.E. Scholarship Initiative.
