Posted By: Hija Chang on May 09, 2013 George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, has an opening for a Leadership Gifts Officer. JOB SUMMARY: The Leadership Gifts Officer’s work increases George School’s fundraising capacity through the successful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a pool of prospective donors with the capacity to make capital gifts in the range of $25,000 and up. The Leadership Gifts Officer works closely with campaign committees and other volunteers. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong development background, preferably in a campaign setting, who has had successful experience both soliciting and closing major gifts and who is able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage a portfolio of major donors and donor prospects. • Coordinate the implementation and follow-through of campaign-related projects. • Work closely with members of the advancement team and the Head of School in a collaborative process of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. • Develop individual cultivation, involvement, and stewardship strategies for each of the donors and prospects assigned. Provide written visit reports and recommendations to the development team for stewardship and follow-up strategies. • Assist in preparation of proposals for presentation to prospects. • Collaborate with the Director of Institutional Advancement to successfully implement George School’s capital campaign.
