SAU Softball Earns CIAA Team Highest Grade Point Average Award (108 hits)

On Thursday, May 4, the Saint Augustine's University softball team was honored for its academic success by winning the 2017 CIAA Highest Team Grade Point Average award in the sport. The Lady Falcons won the honor along with Chowan University for posting a 3.37 grade point average.

The Lady Falcons, guided by Head Coach Dot Neal, were recognized before their CIAA Tournament first-round game against Virginia State University at the Petersburg Sports Complex. They received a plaque for their brilliant work in the classroom.

The award shows that the Lady Falcons softball players are true student-athletes. On the field, they have a winning record (16-13 overall) and are the No. 2 Southern Division seed in the CIAA Tournament.
