SAU's Hall Wins National Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year Honor (437 hits)

Shakera Hall (Jr./Bridgetown, Barbados) of Saint Augustine's University was named HERO Sports D2 Volleyball Fan Choice National Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Hall beat out four other nominees to win the honor. The winner was determined by fan voting during the week.

The Lady Falcons' standout is coming off a spectacular season in which she captured CIAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year honors. Hall currently ranks fourth nationally in Division II in kills per set (5.04) and seventh in points per set (5.43).

A first-team All-CIAA volleyball performer, Hall has captured two national awards during her outstanding career as a track and field and volleyball scholar-athlete. In the summer of 2017, Hall earned CoSIDA Academic All-America Track & Field honors for posting a 3.95 cumulative grade point average.

A business administration major, Hall has a chance to add more national hardware. She will compete for the internationally-renowned track and field team this season.
