NCCU Baseball Head Coach Jim Koerner to Appear on BOXTOROW (447 hits)

North Carolina Central University head coach Jim Koerner will appear on BOXTOROW in an interview that will air on Saturday, March 24.

BOXTOROW will air on these radio stations, including in the Triangle: Buzz Sports Radio at 7:00 a.m., and WAUG-AM 750 at 11:00 a.m. The show can also be found on SiriusXM Channel 142 at 9:00 a.m.

The Eagles are off to their best start in the modern era, and are currently tied for the top of the MEAC Southern Division with a 4-2 league record and an overall mark of 16-7. NCCU is receiving votes in the NCBWA Top-30 poll for the first time in program history, and the club is eighth in NCAA Division-I in runs scored with 187, and 14th in home runs with 27. Individually, Corey Joyce (Lexington, N.C.) is second in the nation in stolen bases with 15, and Carter Williams (Brown Summit, N.C.) is seventh in triples with three.

FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW, hosted by Donal Ware, is the only nationally syndicated sports talk show which places major emphasis on HBCU Sports. The show talks all sports and has broadcast live from Radio Row at The Big Game and from NBA All-Star Weekend as well as from the U.S. Open. BOXTOROW, as it is also known, was credentialed to cover the Super Bowl for the first time during the Super Bowl in Tampa in 2009. Other events covered include MLB All-Star Games, NBA Finals, NHL All-Star Game and the Daytona 500.
