REGINA KING WINS HER FIRST ACADEMY AWARD AND TALKS ABOUT THE LEGACY OF HATTIE MCDANIEL (3316 hits)

On Sunday February 24, 2019 actress Regina King won her first academy award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role as Sharon Rivers in the James Baldwin film adaptation of "IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK ." in a conversation with entertainment journalist Tanisha LaVerne Grant, Regina discusses the legacy of Hattie McDaniel who was the 1st Black woman to win an academy award in the "Best Supporting Actress" category.
