Accepting Cookies: The key to successfully logging onto a secure website!

To enable cookies you must know the browser type and version you are using. Simply select the Help and About button located at the top of your browser and perform the following steps for your browser.

In NETSCAPE 4.X:

  1. From the Toolbar
  2. SELECT Edit
  3. SELECT Preferences
  4. At the bottom of the left hand side SELECT the setting for Advanced.
  5. Check the box, stating "Accept all cookies"
  6. Under the same Advanced setting select the Cache settings and select the "Document in cache is compared to document on network: Every time."
  7. SELECT OK
In INTERNET EXPLORER 4.X:
  1. From the toolbar at the top, SELECT View, a popup menu will appear.
  2. At the bottom of this popup, SELECT Internet Options, another window opens with a series of Tabs across the top.
  3. SELECT General (normally, this is already displayed).
  4. SELECT Settings
  5. Ensure the radio button "Every Visit to the Page" is checked.
  6. SELECT OK
  7. From the Tabs across the top SELECT Advanced, this will display a scroll list of options to check.
  8. Scroll down to Cookies - Check the box "Always accept cookies"
In INTERNET EXPLORER 5.X:
  1. From the toolbar at the top of IE 5, select TOOLS and INTERNET OPTIONS.
  2. Under the GENERAL tab select the Temporary Internet Files Section and then SETTINGS.
  3. On the SETTINGS page you need to select the EVERY VISIT TO THE PAGE radio button.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Under the SECURITY tab select the Custom Level.
  6. Under RESET CUSTOM SETTINGS security should be at MEDIUM.
  7. Under the SETTINGS section Cookies should be enabled.
  8. Select OK.
In INTERNET EXPLORER 6.X:
  1. From the toolbar at the top of IE 6, select TOOLS and INTERNET OPTIONS.
  2. Under the GENERAL tab select the Temporary Internet Files Section and then SETTINGS.
  3. On the SETTINGS page you need to select the EVERY VISIT TO THE PAGE radio button.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Under the PRIVACY Tab select the advanced button.
  6. Check the Override Automatic Cookie Handling and Accept both First and Third party cookies.
  7. Select OK.
