Tell us about the businesses you own and what inspired you to
be an entrepreneur?
We are a concierge company that helps busy individuals handle the stress of managing life and business. Our clients delegate those tiresome tasks to us. I was inspired after being laid off from my job (at the hospital as a Patient Rep), deciding to return to school, and needing an income. In the past, family, friends, and co-workers always request my talents such as proofing documents, assisting with writing, and other administrative duties. They always insinuated that I get paid for my talents. After looking for a job that would accommodate both my class time and studies, I search the internet for free websites because at the time I had no money. Now here I am getting paid for my talents.
Tell us about some of your entrepreneurial accomplishments to date?
Obtaining clients. The business has grown to where we have a nice size cliental.
What are some of your business goals you have yet to achieve?
I would like to see this business become one of many. I think this is such a wonderful service, not only for the people who receive it, but also for those that give it. I would like to hire more people and acquire more clients that really need it. Perhaps even do more Pro Bono work.
What advice do you have to offer to other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Step out on your dreams, prayers and God. Just start with what you have, believe God, and he'll do the rest. The hardest part of obtaining your dreams, are you just stepping out. Don't let the economy dictate your success. There are still masses of people in your target market, who have the money to obtain your services and products. You will only achieve that which you believe! Believe me, this is so much more than a cliché. Never give up! The split second you decide to become a business owner, you are. Having or not having clients doesn't determine this. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS! Be professional because you never know who you will run into and where you might find your customers. Also you are your business, if you’re acting and appearing unprofessional who will want your services or products.
