Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball (6119)
Reporting to the Head Womenís Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics, the Assistant Womenís Basketball Coach assists organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, fund raising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics. He or she must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics and comply with all University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Other duties include working cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel; supporting the student-athlete concept; and demonstrating concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.

The Assistant Womenís Basketball Coach may be assigned other related duties as assigned in support of the departmentís mission and goals.

Fully certified at the Division I level by the NCAA, SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-American Conference (MAC) (menís soccer & wrestling).

This position is a current Administrative / Professional vacancy at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. This position will close to applicants at close of business, 4:30 pm CST, on the posting end date.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
Four years collegiate playing experience
Collegiate coaching and/or basketball operations experience
Experience with collegiate recruiting
Familiarity with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masterís Degree
Two years coaching or basketball operations experience at the Division I level
