Job Description
CRM Manager
The CRM Manager provides expertise in the technical and functional operation of Tessitura software applications and data management to support multiple departments within Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ). Additionally, this position includes supervisory responsibilities and leading an internal group of users to coordinate system configuration and use, implementing request changes, and overall use of the system. He/she will be responsible for the successful operation, integration, and optimization of FONZís customer relationship management system and to provide strategic management, ongoing maintenance, and proactive development of the Tessitura database and future data management systems for the institution.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Work and coordinate all database functions with the three major teams using Tessitura: Events, Education and Membership.
Be responsible for the building and management of all events, classes, and camps as it relates to Tessitura and TNEW.
Manage the donation and membership donation pages created in Tessitura and TNEW.
Develop standards, procedures and conventions needed to maintain data integrity while meeting the needs of organization-wide use of the system.
Manage List and Extraction procedures as it relates to coordination with Wordfly and email communications.
Manage campaigns and appeals.
Work with Finance to ensure monthly reconciliation between Vantiv Merchant Account and Tessitura.
Lead data analysis/business intelligence efforts to support Marketing & Development activities.
Research, plan, project manage and troubleshoot Tessitura upgrades, including leading planning for use of new features, creating testing plans and staff training as necessary.
Coordinate communication with Tessitura via Help Desk support and any other entities relating to the use of Tessitura as needed.
Lead Tessitura training across the organization.
Consult with all departments, gathering user requirements for new initiatives and business process, and recommending best use of Tessitura to support these initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
3-5 years of related experience using Tessitura software is required
Knowledge of SQL up to 1-3 years SQL experience with emphasis on scripting, writing, and debugging is required is preferable
Project management experience highly desirable
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on business procedures / process improvement
Ability to work with both database team/users as well as team members to ensure overall understanding of functional operations of the system and how they contribute and enhance the strategic goals of the organization
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated independent, mature judgment
Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach
Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
Ability to successfully prioritize to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends hours
